Clara's wanderings...
La bellissima Venezia
After a short 1h train ride, I arrived in Venice... There is no doubt that Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world however, in my opinion, the hoards of tourists and the souvenir shops every 10 meters take away from the authenticity of the city.
I stayed at the cool Generator hostel, ideally located near Zitelle only two vaporetto stops from San Marco. Hostels often lack personality but certainly not Generator. I really liked the edgy design and cosy vibe of the hostel. The dorms were spotless and my bed was surprisingly extremely confortable. For only €15 a night, Generator exceeded my expectations. *Great value for money* For more information on Generator hostel visit:www.generatorhostels.com/en/

Verona - Under the spell
From its charming walking streets to its buzzing cafés and captivating sites such as the Arena, Piazza dei Signori, Castel San Pietro, Piazza Bra etc., Verona is a city that deserves to be explored. Plus, it's only a short two-hour flight from London.

My Fab Five
1. Sant'Anastasia - this church has one of the most beautiful ceilings I've seen
2. Sunset walk along the Adige river - one word: 'magical'!
3. Nadalin (star biscuits) from Pasticheria de Rossi on Corso Porta Borsari, the friendliest pastry shop I've ever been to. I asked for a biscuit and they gave it to me for free
4. A glass of Vin Brule at the Christmas market on Piazza Dei Signori - such great atmosphere, it really got me into the Christmas spirit
5. The Mauro Leone shop on Corso Porta Borsari, which has the most amazing selection of shoes. I just couldn't resist...
